Within the IKIC project, Maastricht university in the Netherlands, is the lead partner. It hopes to conduct further cross border research on emergency medical services and combine the knowledge gained from these new studies with previous studies conducted in this field. By combing these studies, Maastricht university hopes to provide input for the modules that will be developed within the project and thereby advance the knowledge on cross-border collaboration and system differences within the EMR. Maastricht university can fulfill its goal as an education and research institute and help promote the uptake of knowledge on these topics among professionals. In addition, the interesting partnership that is being formed between universities and educational institutes in the field of emergency medical services can be an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and to strengthen collaboration within the EMR, thereby making optimal use of available knowledge and experience within the region.
